Using Free Art Supplies

It's an enjoyable challenge to create a piece exclusively from free materials. In my experience, imposing a framework for a piece is the most important part of its formation. Often I create that framework via medium.

Materials for this piece come from a box of donated items: a rejected, pre-cut mat, a piece of scrap paper, and a pencil stub.

Salvaging for Art

While walking, I found one of those orange bumps that had been loosened from the road.  I made something out of it.

Here's what I found.


And here's what I made:

It's glue, tissue, acrylic paint, and of course the road piece, all on a chunk of plywood.
